Voice Mail Service

Voice Mail is a computer-based answering service that works between your phone and the switch at the telephone company. It can handle more than one call at a time; and you can mix it with other features, like pagers. You can also retrieve your messages from any phone anywhere. It continues to serve you during a power failure.


Toll Control

Toll Control restricts all direct-dialed long distance calls. The restriction can be bypassed by dialing a 6-digit code before dialing the long distance number. This would allow only those members of your household to whom you have given the code the ability to place long distance calls.


Nuisance Trap

Nuisance Trap provides the capability of capturing and recording the telephone number of the calling party for each local telephone call to your number. The phone number will be reported to a local law enforcement agency where a report is printed containing the time of the call and the calling party. Nuisance Traps will not be installed unless requested by the subscriber or by a law enforcement agency of the local, state or federal government. The trap must be in place before a call is received. In other words, it will not trace a call made previous to a trap being activated. The name of the offending caller will not be released. Results will only be disclosed to appropriate law enforcement agencies in accordance with applicable law.


Conference Bridge

Conference Bridge connects up to 28 “Meet Me” conference lines by telephone without the assistance of an attendant or operator. Conference parties merely dial into the system at a predetermined time and the “System” automatically answers the call and transfers the parties into the conference. You will be billed a service connection charge and a per hour rate for the conversation time on your telephone bill. Any person calling into the conference from outside our area will be billed the standard direct-dial long distance charge on their phone bill.


Bank Deduct or Automatic Bill Payment

The Bank Deduct/Automatic Bill Payment program is a convenient service offered to you by Citizens Telephone Company in cooperation with your bank or savings and loan. The program is designed to make bill paying as easy as possible for Citizens customers. By signing up for the program, you save time, postage, and one check each month. It’s an easy way to pay your telephone bill. This service is available to our customers . . . residential, commercial, and industrial, through your bank or savings and loan that are members of MACHA.

With your approval, the bank or savings and loan where you do your banking will deduct your monthly telephone bill from your checking or savings account. You won’t have to worry about paying it when you are out of town or on vacation. There is no charge for this service.

Repair Service

To report a telephone that is out of service, we offer 24-hour Repair Service. Call 584-7171. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, every day.

We have two Night Deposit Boxes for your convenience. There is one located in the wall to the left as you face the front doors, and the other is located in the alley on the southwest corner of the building.
