Citizens Telephone Caller ID service is
a spiffy way to know who is calling. It functions for your
phone in much the same way a peep hole functions for your
door. Caller ID puts a peep hole right in your phone by displaying
the number and/or name of the person whos calling before
you answer the call. No kidding!
With Caller ID you wont have to worry
about answering a call from someone you dont know, or
want to talk to. No more telemarketers, no more prank calls,
and no more calls from the Lotto officials telling you youve
won...well, two out of three isnt bad. And imagine the
convenience of being able to see whos callingyour
kids, relatives, friends, or a business acquaintance calling
about a great opportunity. So take control of your phone and
start enjoying the many benefits of Caller ID.
Caller ID Caller
ID lets you know who is calling by displaying their name or
telephone number or both on a special phone or display box
that you may lease or buy. This service will not help you
identify annoying or harassing calls. Some calls outside our
service area may not be displayed.
Caller ID Blocking
This is used to prevent your number from being shown when
you call someone who has Caller ID. You must use this code
before each call. This service is automatically provided free
of charge on your telephone line.
Call Return With
this feature, you can dial a code to retrieve the number of
the last call you received. It will also dial the number if
you wish.
Customer-Originated Trace
Allows you to initiate a Trace on the last call received.
Unfortunately, not all calls outside of our area are traceable.
There is a charge for each successful Trace. After you initiate
the Trace you will get a message telling you if the call was
Traced successfully. If the Trace is confirmed, call your
local law enforcement agency and notify them of the activated
Trace. DO NOT CALL 911. The name of the offending caller
will not be released. Results will only be disclosed to appropriate
law enforcement agencies in accordance with applicable law.
Selective Distinctive Ringing
Allows you to set up a list of numbers for people who
are important to you. If your line is not busy, you will get
a special ring signifying one of the numbers on your list
is calling. If your line is busy, you will get a special Call
Waiting tone.
Selective Call Acceptance
Allows you to define a list of phone numbers that will
be accepted. If the calling party is not on the acceptance
list, they will receive an announcement that you are not presently
accepting their call.
Selective Call Waiting
Allows you to select which calls your Call Waiting
will announce. With this feature you are only alerted of calls
from numbers on your preselected list.
Selective Call Forwarding
Routes important callers, which the subscriber has
defined to an alternate phone number. Calls that are not on
the acceptance list will not be forwarded.
Selective Call Rejection
Allows you to define a list of twelve phone numbers
that will be blocked from your phone. In other words, calls
from phone numbers you do not wish to accept will receive
an announcement stating you are not accepting the call.
Automatic Call Back
When activated, this feature will redial a busy number until
the line is clear. It will then signal you with a special
ring of your phone. When you pick up the handset it will automatically
call the number. You may use your phone while you are waiting
because completion of Automatic Call Back will not be attempted
unless both lines are free. This feature will also act as
a Last Number Redial.
